Sally Firino’s
use of line is joyous and amusing, breathing
life into the subject with an unusual
combination of delicacy and strength. She uses a
single line to record an impression of a place
or a moment. Sally leaves room for the viewer to
interpret, to explore and to gain a sense of
space and movement, distance and peace.
After graduating
from Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher
Education with an Honours Degree in Visual Arts
and Photography, Sally went on to teach Art in
Secondary Schools for 8 years before dedicating
more time to her own work. Sally still continues
to teach Art and Photography in The New Forest.
