Nigel Swift - Printmaker and Painter Nigel Swift was born in Grimsby 1961.  Nigel's mode of printmaking derives directly from his unmediated experience of being outside in the fresh air.  He believes totally in his integrity of his immediate response and strives to capture the sensory nature of his subject.  "I paint and draw in the open air. My work succeeds when I capture the emotional atmosphere present on each occasion. This is only achieved through total absorption in the subject and the action of mark making".
