Natasha Kahn -
Painter
I’m inspired by all aspects of
urban architecture – from the narrow, uneven
alleyways of a Moroccan souk to a simple open window
in an orderly West-End street. I’m fascinated by
positive and negative shapes, straight lines next to
curves, big bold brushstrokes alongside small daubs
of colour.
Sunlight and shadow play a great part, as do depth
and perspective. I want reflections on a window’s
surface to merge with the view inside, streets to
disappear around corners and doors to only hint as
to what they are hiding.
Natasha was born in 1973 and works from her studio
in South West London.
